AI Implementation — Device Detection
Device data reported from the field is not always validated, causing mismatches between photos and actual site equipment. Manual checks are slow and error-prone.
What we were asked to solve
Device data reported from the field is not always validated, causing mismatches between photos and actual site equipment. Manual checks are slow and error-prone.
The need
An automated mechanism to validate that devices in captured images correspond with the devices reported in the system — ensuring data collected from the field is accurate and consistent with site inventory.
What we built and how we delivered
AI-powered device detection automatically identifies telco equipment such as antennas from site photos and cross-checks them against reported data. The solution validates the match between images and reports in real time, improving data accuracy and providing a reliable foundation for anomaly detection.
OutcomesWhat changed for National Telco Infrastructure Operator
- Automated cross-validation of field imagery vs. reported inventory
- Reduced reliance on manual verification
- Reliable foundation for anomaly detection and maintenance decisions
